This is why I love internet marketing…
Wednesday, February 28th, 2007Hey all…
As I said, over the next few weeks, I’ll probably be posting a lot about my travels over the last few weeks while at JV Alert and Mike Filsaime’s workshop, but I wanted to quickly explain why I love Internet marketing so much.
For a few reasons I should say, but mainly for the people…
Just take a look at what Michelle Greene sent me…
www.internetmarketingmission.com/thanks/liz/liz.html
It’s a video thank you note. Now how cool is that? I liked Michelle the first time I got an email from her, and being able to meet her in person was incredible. Watch out for this marketing “chic” because she just quit her “real” job to go full time, and she’s going to be absolutely UNSTOPPABLE!!
Another person I love Jason DeVelvis… Now this guy is a riot. Check out the video he did of Robert Puddy “spamming” Brad Fallon in person. He’s taken SPAM to an all new level.

We joked with Robert at the seminar and workshop that he was spamming people because he was putting his business card in the hand of whoever would take it. This business card was to get people to the Focus Marketing Seminar in Dallas, TX starting March 16th. (If you’d like to come I have a special offer for you at >>> www.TomeyMarketing.com/wsspecial)
Here’s another great video called “WTF In Dallas”. It’s not what you think… Three great minds are coming to Dallas to unleash some top secret information that you just have to be there to get… Check out WTF in Dallas by going to www.internetseminarsindallas.com/wtf/tellman.html
Later tonight I will be pulling pictures off of my camera so everyone can see who else I met, and that will get the old memory going… After two weeks of travel, everything seems to just be a blur now.

The Best Two Weeks Of IM… Part 1
Tuesday, February 27th, 2007Wow! What an amazing two weeks. On February 14th I left my house to go to Orlando, FL to go to JV Alert Live. I’ve sent you a ton of pictures, but have a ton more to put up. Will get to that as soon as I get home. No, I’m still not at home… I am however on my way back home.
After leaving Orlando, I stopped at my mother’s house for a quick two day visit before heading off to Mike Filsaime’s 2007 Figure Business Workshop… There’s a lot of words I could use to explain the last two weeks of my life. However it would take a lot more than a blog post to explain it all. So, I will just say it was absolutely life changing, but very exhausting…
I’ve learned a ton, met a lot of great people, but I will be so glad to get home and see my kids. I have a lot of reflecting to do because I have absorbed so much information. Now it’s time to take that information and put it into action… Before I do that, I thought I’d do a brain dump here and tell you about the amazing people I met and got to hang out with in these two weeks…
At JV Alert Live, I missed a lot of the speakers because I was busy networking, doing interviews, etc, but I got to listen to Willie Crawford, and then got to talk to him a few times while there. Willie is truly an amazing. He’s got more marketing knowledge in his pinky than I do in my entire body. I think of Willie as the guru’s guru. He gave me some amazing information for my coaching clients. 2007 you’ll see my offering a lot of coaching and I’m learning from the best on how to give you the best, so watch out for my coaching opening emails. Spots go fast so you’ll need to act fast…
At JV Alert, I also go to hang out with Jeff Dedrick. You may or may not know Jeff, but I refer to him as the smartest dumb marketer out there. The reason being is because Jeff has an increbile mind for business. He’s run million dollar offline businesses, and has started an amazing career online. Here’s the thing… Jeff can barely FTP to his site. This actually doesn’t make him dumb though. It’s makes him smart and here’s why…
Instead of Jeff doing everything him, he has people do the work for him. He’s then left to do the marketing, and if you stop and think about it, that’s how it should be. We are marketers. Not webmasters, article writers, graphic designers, etc. We should create the products and market them, and finally Jeff has drilled this through my thick skull. I’ve now hired to article writers, a graphics guy, a webmaster, and a programmer. These people all help me do things quicker and easier which leaves me more time to provide good information to you.
If you’re currently working a ton of hours, step back and see where you can cut some of those hours. You’ll work less and make more, and that’s truly what it’s all about, right? Terry Dean just had a wonderful article on his blog about this exact thing. You can see it at… terrydean.org/wp-trackback.php?p=42
Okay, there’s a ton more I need to tell you and as I go through my brain dump, I’ll be telling you more about the last two weeks and what I’ve learned and who I’ve met, so stay tuned…

The King Of Viral Marketing Has Been Replaced…
Wednesday, February 7th, 2007Since the launch of Butterfly Marketing, Mike Filsaime has been hailed “The King Of Viral Marketing”… Mike had some awesome stuff in there, and probably still reigns as the kind of viral marketing, but my friend James Grandstaff is really giving him a run for his money…
James has come up with an absolutely amazing system, that not only teaches, but also allows you to earn affiliate commissions at the same time.
This is how it works…
James created some videos teaching people how to use a couple of different products/services. He then took those videos, placed them online, and put links below the videos allowing people who wanted to use the products/services he did the videos for to purchase through his links.
So he taught people to use a product, and then offered his affiliate link for them to buy the product. Okay, so where’s the viral aspect of it?
He’s allowing anyone to brand the page with their own affiliate links. So you can go to www.AskJamesPodcast.com/free/videos/liztomey right now, input your affiliate information, and get a page where you can give away these same videos but it’s your affiliate links that your people can buy through so you get the commissions.
Yeah we all need to give James a great big thanks!
All you have to do is go to www.AskJamesPodcast.com/free/videos/liztomey signup for free, and start promoting that page.
I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea, and James has done one of the best viral marketing strategies I have ever seen! I encourage you to get creative with viral marketing. It’s one of the best ways to advertise and usually wont cost you a thing.
Here’s another cool idea I got from this, but it has nothing to do with viral marketing, and it’s theory, but it is an idea I think would work, and it involves pay-per-click advertising….
My idea is to find a product to promote. Do as James has done at www.AskJamesPodcast.com/free/videos/liztomey and create videos showing how to use the product. Start a pay-per-click campaign and offer people free videos in the add. With your affiliate links in place, you should be able to at the very least make your money back, but here’s a viral twist you could add…
Put a tell a friend link on your page, and you’ll be surprised how viral those little tell a friend scripts work. Especially in niches outside of Internet marketing.
There’s a ton of different ways you can use what James has done to make money via videos showing how to use a product or service. Just think of all the possibilities.
I hope that James does this with tons of different videos, because it’s great to be able to show people how to do stuff and at the same time make money.
