A Few Cool Quotes…

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Today, I was reading for fun. Yes, sometimes I do that. However, of course, I was reading marketing related stuff. :) I’m such an addict. :)

I found two quotes that really stood out to me, and I wanted to share them with you below…

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great…

Zig Ziglar

Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.

What do I want to accomplish by giving you these two quotes.

Well I hope that they reach out and smack you upside your head to make you start doing something.

I want you to do something today, no matter how small that gets you on the path to success. If you’re already on that path do something small or large that can get you even further down that path!

Meeting Frank Sousa

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Today I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Frank Sousa. I’d always heard that Frank was a really nice guy, but as soon as you hear Frank’s voice, you know you’re dealing with a super nice guy. :)

I was in the middle of some product creation stuff and needed an link immediately to be able to finish the product up. I had my affiliate manager (and husband too) Jamie Bing call Frank up and get the affiliate link.

In no time Frank had me hooked up, and told me tons about his product too to help me better educate my readers. Frank knows I’m a “content queen” so he filled me full of content.

Why am I telling you this?

First off to give Frank a “shout out” for helping me out, and second to show you that picking up the phone and helping someone is a great way to build your business.

I’ll be promoting Frank’s product now. I know a lot about it (even more than before), and Frank even told me about something else that would be good for my readers. So, potentially Frank is going to get two promotions from me, and now that I’ve talked to him personally he can pick up the phone any time he needs to and I’ll help him out.

I keep preaching about relationship building, and this is just case in point.

No Frank’s not my best bud now, but we’ve both started the foundation to a great relationship that I’m sure will benefit us both greatly now and in the future.

So, pick up the phone today and give someone a call. No, don’t waste their time. Have something you want to help them with, and work on giving before you get!

That’s the key to my success in this business and if you really grasp anything I teach you, this needs to be the biggy. Give before you get, and you’ll get A LOT!

You Know Your Info Product Could be the Next Hot Seller. Now Make Sure It Is!

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

To start with you need to be prepared to put some effort in, as we all know nothing comes for easy but following this system will make the ride a whole lot smoother.

First you must have achievable goals and stick to them like the proverbial glue. A general plan without goals is like wandering around a maze in circles and it?s unlikely you?ll find your way out.

So plan out things like, how many sales you want to achieve in a day/week/month and set daily actions in place to help you get there. Never forget your goal is your end target and that you can achieve it.

One of the main pieces of advice I can give you is don?t go for one sale at a time. By putting all the effort you use for one sale into finding a joint venture will give you multiple sales for the same amount of work.

Spend the majority of your days trying to find joint venture partners for your product instead of places you can put ads that attract one or two sales. The same principle applies when finding affiliates for your product. Yes you must have an affiliate program because if you don?t you are leaving a whole lot of cash on the table.

Although some additional marketing presence can be achieved by writing articles, having a signature on your email or forum posts and creating press releases so don?t desert this route altogether. These particular methods might even attract joint venture partners and relationships that can be developed.

Another great thing to try is find a mentor. It is one of the best things you can do to help yourself, as they will guide you and give you impartial advice in every type of business decision you have. They can fast track you to success without the steep learning curve.

Remember mentors have mentors too, so that you can get a whole wealth of information filtered right through from the biggest Internet Gurus down to new people coming onto the Internet fold,

Lastly a great that tip that will serve you well is treat your website like a business not a hobby, as investments in things like decent sales copy will have a massive impact on overall sales. If you don?t have the kind of money available to buy this, you could offer your time, services, and products as payment for it.

As with anything in life, if you don?t try, you won?t get what you want. Never stop trying and that success will be within your grasp very soon.

How to Use Leverage to Multiply Your Income Ten Fold

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

If you have not heard the term leverage already, let me explain briefly what it is.

It is the power to act effectively ? using existing knowledge, money or something else in a manner that results in a chain reaction of greater success. For example, using the same effort to find joint venture partners and affiliates could end up in multiple sales rather than one sale at a time.

You first need to determine the tasks that you need to concentrate on to build your own business and determine what actions are needed to achieve these tasks.

Then think of ways that you can incorporate leverage into these tasks to make sure your actions are as effective as possible.

If you look at the reality of things, you are never going to get anywhere very fast if you decide to take on every business task yourself, in fact you are likely to get bogged down very fast, so the way to leverage this is to outsource.

You can only manage so many actions a day - you must decide what you are best at and outsource the rest.

Now to begin with, you may not be able to afford to pay other people to do things for you. To deal with this, see if you can get your friends, family or neighbors to help you, you can return the favor at a later date when you are rolling in it!

If you don?t know anyone who can help, then you are going to have to, excuse the phrase, network your ass off!

You can do this by networking on forums, searching on the Internet for people owning related websites, browsing social networking sites and emailing your favorite marketers for advice. Get to know people, build relationships with them; you never know what the outcome will be unless you try.

The art of leverage can also be used to build your traffic, as mentioned earlier finding joint ventures and affiliates are ways of getting more traffic to your site with the same effort as going for one sale. Continuing to contact people on a daily basis, offering your assistance, support and friendship will build mutually satisfying relationships that alone could help multiply your income ten-fold!

Remember you can leverage actions to get good results but leveraging excuses isn?t going to get you anywhere.

How to Learn from Successful Marketers and Get Your Own Six Figure Salary

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

We all want to make money on the Internet in an ideal world, right?

But is there anything we can do to cut the steep learning curve and make money sooner rather then later?

The first thing we could do is get a mentor but I know the majority of the really good mentors charge fees that are off the scale for many just starting out.

If you can afford it go for it, as it would be an investment that would repay itself over and over. But if you can?t afford it, then you can learn from the masters in other ways.

Pick a marketer you really admire, you are bound to have a couple of their products already, so study those products, their style and define what it is you really like about the product.

Do this with their websites, newsletters and any information you can find on the net by doing a search on them. Learn as much as you can about them and take copious notes.

Now repeat this process with your own online business.

Then you can do this with other favorite Internet Marketers and take the best of the best tactics and incorporate these in your offerings. Remember to put your own spin on things and not to copy word for word as this would be just plain wrong.

Internet Marketing forums are a great place to learn from successful marketers, many of these forums have a number of gurus participating, making it easier for you to contact them, interact with them and request their help.

Using forums is a good way of finding a potential mentor to help you through the good, the bad and ugly times. Using leverage you could request their help and they could get a cut of the profits when you are successful. After all they will help you make the money that keeps the Internet Marketing world go round and round.

Should you not be successful in finding a mentor quickly, don?t worry you still can do well by searching for accountability partners or Mastermind Groups.

An accountability partner would be someone that you stay in contact with regularly, preferably each week, so you can set tasks for each other and accomplish more with each others support as you are literally accountable to each other, hence the name.

Mastermind Groups, on the other hand, are a group of people supporting each other, bouncing ideas off each other, offering advice and finding solutions to problems. They usually have a mix of people from newbies to highly successful Internet entrepreneurs.

The best thing about them is you have a collective mindset rather than just your overloaded brain. Mastermind groups are also a breeding ground for potential joint venture partners, mentors and cyber friends for life.
