Answering The Big Ugly Question…
By LizTomey | March 5, 2008
The most asked question I get in Internet marketing is hands down…
How do I get started in Internet marketing?
… or some variation of that question…
Here’s my brutally honest answer, and I will tell you straight up, if you don’t like to hear the truth given to you straight from the hip, then close this site right now, turn your computer off and keep your day job…
To answer this question, I first have to say something…
There is no instant success online. You HAVE to work your butt off to establish your business, and still work even when you’re making money. That pipe dream of throwing up a website and drinking margaritas on the beach as the cash comes flowing in is nothing more than that… A pipe dream…
Now once you get over that, I’d like to tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You can make money online and where I recommend that everyone and I mean everyone start is with their own product or service…
Here are the steps it takes to make it online…
=======================================
Side Note: Want to be able to create an online business from scratch? Then you gotta check this out www.TomeyMarketing.com/TheWholeThing The whole kit and kaboodle is right there!
=======================================
1. You have to make a plan as to how you’re going to create an income online, and set goals to reach.
2. Select and target a marketing with proven buyers in it.
3. Create a product that people in your niche want
4. Setup your entire sales system (sales copy, sales page, download page, affiliate program, etc)
5. Drive traffic to your new product
6. Recruit affiliates to sell your new product
7. Use your product to build your list
8. Create additional products and membership sites to build your income
Yep there’s the basics…
Now believe me, there’s one heck of a learning curve to be able to do all of this. There’s techniques, strategies, abilities and more that you need to know and have to pull this off.
My friend Keith Wellman has created a product called “The Million Dollar March”, and everything you need to know about creating and selling your own products, services, and or membership sites is taught in this product.

This is hands down the best course ever put out online that encompasses everything it takes to build a business online.
Like I have said though… This isn’t a magic potion, but if you get this course, and follow what Keith teaches, there is no reason why you can’t have your own products and services and making an awesome income with them. Keith has taught person after person all of this and now he wants to teach you….

I hope you’ll take Keith up on this offer. I don’t think a product of this caliber that covers everything about creating and selling your own products and services online will ever live up to this one…

To your success!

Hi Liz, I think there may be a typo: shouldn’t 2. be: Select a target market with proven buyers in it? Otherwise an excellent, concise guide for ‘Newbies’. I’m also sick of those gurus who imply that all someone has to do is to buy their latest mega package (usually around $1000) and throw up a Website in a day to be drinking margaritas on the beach as the cash comes flowing in ever after! But if they stressed that hard work day after day is required, plus the necessity of continual education on the latest Internet Marketing techniques, how many mega packages would they sell?

You hit the nail right on the head with this post Liz, nice job! Will you be at Yanik’s seminar in L.A. at the end of this month? If so I should see you there little lady!
By the way, thanks for correcting me about the Shelby comment :)…. I just can’t imagine your wussy *** driving such a beastly vehicle!!! LOL!!! Tell Jamie I said what’s up, c-ya Liz!

Quick question, Liz. I agree entirely with you about the whole “drinking margaritas on the beach thing.” But…
Won’t most $1,000 packages work just fine if what you want to do is drink mai tais on the beach instead? That’s what I read over on the buy-the-brooklyn-bridge-no-money-down forum the other day.
Just kiddin’ — great post.
