Hot Damn! 2CheckOut.com And PayPal Together At Last
By LizTomey | October 30, 2007
I’ve been using 2CheckOut.com for a very long time. Reason being is because PayPal is usually a nightmare for me. (See www.JustSayNoToPayPal.com)
Today however, I was happy to see that my customers can now pay me through PayPal via 2CheckOut.com That means the funds don’t go into my PayPal account. They go into 2CheckOut.com’s PayPal account. Whoo hooo….
2CheckOut.com will now be giving ClickBank.com a run for their money. If they could just get a marketplace like ClickBank.com has they would ruin them!
They are much easier to use and all in all I like 2CheckOut.com MUCH better than ClickBank.com
So good on you 2CheckOut.com! Glad to see you back in the game!
Liz

In addition, I would like to mention that 2CheckOut.com has a great fraud detection service that spots CC fraud attempts within hours.
PayPal usually takes days…
The only downside using 2CO, from a customer point of view, is the difficult procedure involved when you want to cancel a recurring billing.

Liz,
Although I see the advantages, if you look at the rates:
- one-time set up fee of $49.
- 2CO receives a wholesale rate discount of 5.5%
- plus $0.45 off the retail price of each total order.
a large number of online (small)business owners like people that are doing dime-sales for instance still need and alternative to Paypal as Clickbank also enforces a minimum price of $3 for instance.
Another challenge: membership site owners are facing is that most membership site software scripts do not support 2CO automatically.
I am looking myself for my sites how to do that.
But overall, a great improvement.

2co is a great alternative, especially because it covers countries that Paypal does not support. I’ve gone through so many troubles just because I cannot pay through Paypal, and it still sucks that I cannot still accept Paypal payments in my country. Well, glad to hear that 2co is making another leap… It’s worth the $49 I paid.

Thanks for the update Liz. I have not used 2CO to date. My products are in the Clickbank marketplace. But with the addition of PayPal, they’re looking more appealing.

Hi Liz,
Thanks for the update. I did not realize this development. This is something I am thankful for because I live in a country that PayPal does not accept. I personally use 2CheckOut. Now that it’s linked with PayPal, it gives buyers greater paying options.
All the best,
Clarence
PS - I agree with you…PayPal is a pain! I was so confused trying to set up a merchant’s account with them. Even till today, I don’t think I got it right. Sigh!
