Internet Marketing Reality TV?

You see, Joel Comm, who I think is absolutely brilliant is going out on a limb here. He’s doing something that so many of us have joked about…

Yes, I am totally serious… I laughed my *ss off when I saw it. I just couldn’t believe he was actually going to do it. Now keep in mind this is about to go into hype overdrive. Everyone and their brother is going to be talking about freakin big this is going to be.
Stop and think for a moment…
What would happen if Joel’s “reality tv” went main stream. Internet marketing is really a tiny niche. Compared to MANY other niches out there it is tiny. So what would happen if millions upon millions of people were exposed to making money online. It would blow this tiny little niche up.
Would it be good or bad?
Now that is a VERY controversial question, and I challenge you to post your thoughts by clicking on the comments link at the end of this post.
What do I think?
In short, I think it would be freakin incredible for a little while and then it would just bust wide open. Only the strongest would survive, and those who are just getting buy would be put under. It would be like the Dot Com Bust in the late 90’s. It would kill 1000’s upon 1000’s of every day people who are just making a small income online. Literally only the really big top dogs would be left…
Do I think it will happen? Nope… 
I don’t see this getting huge, so you worry warts can take a deep breath and relax…

I would have to agree with you on this – this IS going to be huge. Reality shows, however stupid and annoying they are, are a hit and Joel will bring an exposure to what used to be tight and lucrative niche. As far as outcome – I think it is actually going to benefit people who are already in as it will introduce new people to buy the products
I know John Reese talks about fierce competition becoming a grim reality in his latest report but he also speaks about how this will benefit people already established in their area. So, in short – thanks to Joel! Great article Liz!
