Hi Liz,
What can you say, most of what he said is true.
I think the part about the sharpened focus of who and what in marketing is going to have to happen. I think people are catching on to the incestuous marketing practices related to all the product launch ‘noise’ out there today (did you know that noise is from the Latin word for nausea-seems appropriate).
I especially like the intimate mastermind group concept, of which you are already a part of. Seems to be the better way to go.
The funny part is, that the timing of this report puts me right on track for what I have been working towards the past 2 months to re-align what I am doing. Defining my vision and goal, and aligning myself with someone I respect to emulate.
Great stuff,
John
PS Just so you know, you are someone I admire and learn from. I hesitated saying that, because I didn’t want it to start a Tomey butt kissing free for all, but sometimes you have to chance it with the truth. ;o)

This report is just another tricky way to hand over your hard earned email list to Mike.
Guess what happens the next time you promote the same thing?; he’s very good in what he does, and will probably end up with the sales — and all you get is one lousy buck.
I sent an email to my list of freebie seekers about this report - they never buy anything from me, so no harm in letting MF have them. LOL

Hey,
I don’t know about everyone else but I read the report from front to back and for real, it did have some good info inside.
But to me it all seemed like something disguised as something else.
Something that would ultimately benefit him in the end.
For one it seemed like a way to get rid of internet marketers and lead them in another direction such as Niche Marketing. Because the competition is just getting to stiff for him and I don’t think he likes it very well.
Another thing is (and it may be just the way I took it) reading behind the lines, I took all that stuff about keeping your valuable info in your little group to mean that too many secrets had been released and was part of the problem he is so concerned about. That too much had been let out of the bag - so to speak and was causing too many internet marketers to become successful. Think maybe he is regretting the release of the Bug Manuscript at less than 100 bucks, giving almost anyone access? There was lots of powerful stuff in that manuscript and a lot of internet marketers have become successful just since that release.
There is really a ton of things that I was reading behind the lines in this report. I don’t know how many people caught them but it sure seemed that way to me. Go back and see if you can see what I mean.
It just felt like he was trying to sway the whole IM community to take his advice or IM was going to die!! He realizes that things have changed and a lot of the change was due to him. Now he wants it back like it was when there were a handful of Internet Marketers who never let out the forbidden secrets. Now that there are hundreds of successful and semi-successful Internet Marketers he doesn’t seem to like it very well.
I could go on and on about the hidden agenda of the report but I won’t as I have probably already made tons of folks mad, but did anyone else feel like he had another reason for writing this? Did anyone else feel like he was trying to accomplish something else besides what he said?
I am curious and I hope I was not the only one who noticed or felt that way.
Cheers to all of you,
T2

Liz–
Wow! I didn’t know he had it in him!
Seriously, though, I found this report to be very valuable in the food-for-thought realm.
Mike touched on many thgings I’ve been wondering about as well as a few product ideas I have planned for 2007 (so I guess I’m on the right track).
As you well know, I’ve been the poster child for the phenomenon he described in the sailing to Hawaii analogy, and this report strengthened my resolve to whittle my interests down to one thing at a time that I’m good at (as you’ve told me many times).
So even though 2006 has been the roughest year of my life, the dawn has broken and 2007 will be my year to shine! And, surprisingly, Mike’s free report held several really useful tips to help achieve that goal, without the ususal pitchfest.
All in all, it’s a very well done intro to the recent history and near future of Internet Marketing. Kudos to Mike on this one. (Now, as long as he doesn’t start sending me 6 pitches a day, I’ll be even happier)
Thanks for all you do.
Your friend and student,
Rod

Whats going on?
I got notice of “The Death of Internet Marketing” from a couple of other people yesterday. I went through the many many hoops (including checking the Terms and Conditions, what is that about for a free information report?) and finally after setting up a password (?) and then being given a CODE to activate access(?). I inserted the CODE in the appropriate box several times it never did work. I finally gave up.
So I got The notice from Liz today and thought it must be worth reading about this. I tried to get the report again 3 different times using 3 different e-mail addresses. I had the same or worse experiences each time. I still don’t have the report.
Did anyone else have troubles like this? And is there any other way I can get this report I’m really really curious now.

I received no less than 50 emails about this report! For the most part I think Mike was just stating the obvious: Any market can become saturated whether it’s online or offline.
I have received several emails today that offer supposed solutions to the problems that Mike defined in his report. Cause and effect? If people react in a positive manner and take action to find work arounds, then Mr Filsaime has difinitely gotten the ball rolling in the right direction.

Mike makes a couple of good points, especially
concerning paypal but in reality all he is trying to
do is generate traffic and subscribers. Internet
marketing is alive and well if you provide useful
information and content for your target nitch.

I agree with Tam2 on this report. The first thing that hit me was what a great way to thin out the competition. Even Mike said it but can’t quote it word for word but it was to the effect that there are too many newbies making good money in IM.
There was some good “food for thought” material but even here much of it was common sense.
I did read the entire report when I got it and the bottom line for me is; there was a purpose for this and it was for the long-term benifit of Mike. He kept saying he was making changes for 07 but he wasn’t getting out of IM and moving into other markets. Didn’t sound like he was taking his own advice. Just that he was going to JV with a limited number of people. Think there is an 07 package coming out with limited membership to JV with Mike???
