I’ve started back working on the content site. My article writer got 9 articles to me last night, and I have gotten them all up on the site.

When my writer sent me the articles, I still had to place the articles on the individual pages and make sure they were optimized for the search engines.

I’m also building a sitemap for the site to submit to Google.com They have a new feature where you can build a .xml sitemap and upload it to them. I did this for my TomeyMarketing.com site. It was the ONLY SEO I did on that site in the last few months. My traffic has really picked up since then, so just maybe the new Google sitemap craze is right on… We’ll talk more about that as we go on creating this site.
My next steps will be adding RSS feeds to the site to constantly bring in fresh content, and then adding some products related to this niche to see if I can sell products from a content site also.
We’re going to be talking about selling products (your own and through affiliates) on your content site as we go along also. Right now I am just concentrating on getting my site all finished and optimized properly for the search engines.
