What in the world is Mr. Morin talking about?

Well, I probably should just turn my head and keep my mouth shut, but I never do that, so why start now, right?
Today while looking at Internet Marketing News Watch (www.imnewswatch.com) a title to a blog post caught my eye. The title was “Is the art of product development gone? ” and it was from Armand Morin’s blog. I read it, and was left just shaking my head…
First off, Armand does good interviews and has a wealth of knowledge. i will give him that. His products on the other hand (from the ones that I have bought) have not been exactly the best thing around. So when I saw the title I just had to know what he had to say…

All I can say is… ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?????
My definition of a good product:
Is one that you can learn from and/or make money from.
Does it matter where it comes from? NOPE!
Does it matter how it’s marketed? NOPE!
Resale rights products have made a lot of people a lot of money, and that’s a fact. I’m one of those people. What Armand is not pointing out is that it takes skill to market any product in any way. If you can make money off of resale rights products… GO FOR IT!
If you can make money off of a stand alone product… GO FOR IT!
If you can learn or make money off of a “fad” product… GO FOR IT! Speaking of “fad” products, who was it that created “Directory Generator”? HHmmm….
Evidently Armand doesn’t understand future customers and back end products. If you go right now and buy a package of resale rights, and then sign up for the affiliate program to sell that same package, there’s no harm. If you’re doing it right, in a month or so, you’ll have new customers that you can sell those products to. And how about using them as back end products? If you have an affiliate program, you’re getting customers from other people. You can sell those products to those new customers on the back end.
The very things Armand is saying are the wrong way to do things are the very things that are making people money. Especially for those of you without big names. It’s easy to say what he said when you’re Armand Morin, but if you’re not, you can still do your own thing, not have to become some “big name guru”,and still make money.
I wonder if the next thing he will be asking will be “Is the art of Internet marketing is gone?”, and then talking about how trying to sell your latest CD on Amazon by offering a bunch of bonuses to those who buy it, but don’t want it the actual CD, but the bonuses isn’t the right way to make money.
Speaking of that, what was the name of the marketer who just did that? Hhmmmm….
Just remember what I keep teaching…
If it works.. Do it! Don’t let me or anyone else tell you it wont work. Find out for yourself!

Hi Liz,
I like your insight. I definitely agree with you. Any product is good as long as you learn from it and if appropriate make money from it. One of my key products is a group of Dog Treat Recipe ebooks. These are products that I bought the private label rights too.
The problem though is that everyone is producing products, including software, and unfortunately the product does not always live up to the sales letter.
I wish more people thought that making money on the internet also included customer service. A lot of people are opportunists rather than business owners. This is good for some of us Internet Marketers as we can capitalize on this.

How true Liz. How it’s marketed and who produced it does not a good or bad product make. If the product delivers good useful info in a professional manner, then customers are receiving value. Also, the product needs good customer support, esp. if it’s something like software.
